We stayed one week in July for a summer vacation - teenagers each brought a friend and the babies were stuck with us. The older kids spent a lot of time in the river. The babies were amazed at the freedom they were given - walking/crawling around on the deck, in the lawn, on the beach... The adults enjoyed the deck, midnight hot tubbing under the stars, hammock time in the shade... We were looking for a quiet getaway and got exactly that, except for on Saturday when the river got quite busy with weekenders. Apparently the bridge right next to the property is a popular take-out spot. We brought two hammocks to string between the trees that the deck wrapped around - got hammock hanging kits that wrapped around the trees so as not to damage them. They made perfect spots to laze - the only other outdoor furniture were the plastic chairs and the wooden built-in benches around the deck. One warning - the local critters went through and spread the garbage every night. Would have been nice if there was a place to put the garbage that had a door. Also, no closet/dresser space to unpack, so we "lived out of our suitcases" for a week - no big deal.Don't forget your mosquito repellent for the evenings! Thanks for the great getaway.
The cabin is relaxing and peaceful and located right at rivers edge. Great deck on back of cabin with hot tub. Cabin rental was well priced and a good value. Wonderful place to come to just kick back and relax for a couple of days.
Our overall stay was great!! The location was FANTASTIC. The cabin & the hot tub was cozy & clean. I would have liked to have known to bring bottled water. The cabin had a bottled water font there, but it only had 1/2 bottle left and we were there for 4 days. We had to go out and buy water for cooking and drinking. Be sure to bring ALL your own basic kitchen spices, etc. If you're a Gourmet, be prepared for a very basic kitchen.
The water in the cabin is potable, although it does have a lot of mineral content, as do most of our properties here in the mountains. None of our properties offer or guarantee any type of cooking spices, oils, etc. When renters leave these items we do not remove, but we do not maintain them.
Some of the deck needs small repairs for little feet. The cleaning fee should be more obvious or included in the fees. Even a refundable deposit would be more appealing.
We are repeat customers and appreciate working with you - Thank you for your part in helping to make our stay enjoyable
We had such a great time and can't wait to go back!
It was a lovely stay and the kids had a ball. It was a very rainy weekend and cold but it is what you call and old fashion good time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We stayed Tues-Friday, late March, had a brief snow and one power failure, but it was very enjoyable. We wished we'd noted that the main heat was a wood stove, an axe would have been helpful. My wife loved it! The only suggestion, made to property mgmt., is that the hot tub and space heater plug for the back bedroom need to be on a separate circuit, preferably 30 amp. 20 amps isn't enough -circuit breaker kept flipping. But a really beautiful place - elk walked close by on the river. We think we might like to try it again during a summer season.
It was very nice and quiet. I would suggest more curtains on the windows. The side door in the living room was uncovered and the neighbors next door could see in. Other than that, it was great! Thanks
This property is RIGHT ON THE WATER! It was beautiful and we had an excellent time. Good fishing right there! It was well worth the money and I would recommend it to all my friends!
This cabin is in a very beautiful area. The river is right out the back door. Our family had a blast tubing on the river. It was also nice to be able to take our dog along. The only complaint we have it that, other than the beds, the furniture is very uncomfortable. The deck has plastic chairs and the furniture in the house isn't much better. We had a hard time finding a nice spot to kick back and read a book.
River view was great. Only down fall was the road and bridge right next to the cabin, not much traffic.BEDS COULD DEFINITELY BE REPLACED.
We had a great time at the Misty River cabin. Hope to visit there again soon.
The filtered water supply ran out, and what we thought were spare jugs, were empty. The corkscrew was broken. A quick trip into Crouch solved both problems. A guest sign-in book would be nice, too. Its interesting to see who stayed there and read the stories of their stay.A very nice, down-home cabin, right on the river.
The Misty River cabin was everything it was advertised to be. It is a rustic cabin alongside a beautiful Idaho stream. Don't forget your float tubes for maximum fun.
We were missing a few amenities (towels, sheets, pillows), but they were supplied quickly by the property manager. Hot tub had the yellowest water I've ever seen. Great spot though. Love the deck right on the river.
In the mountains, our water contains a high amount of minerals. When a hot tub is first refilled, the water can appear yellow and/or green; however, we can assure you that it is simply the minerals in the water. Once the chemicals have been balanced, the filtering system pulls the minerals from the water and it becomes crystal clear.
