  Martha, the owner, was very hospitable and friendly. She has done a ton of remodeling and the inside looks like new. We could hear elk bugling from the elk farm across the river that runs along the back of the property. It was a very peaceful visit.

  This was our first anniversary and first time at a bed and breakfast! Martha was so sweet and breakfast was yummy. We were able to soak in the hot tub while looking at the mountains and elk farm in her backyard. Beautiful and we will plan a return trip! Thanks

  The sole purpose for our getaway was for my daughter and I to escape an leave behind all worries of the past few months. The property is amazingly beautiful. The sounds and sights of the wild life, the crisp clean smell of the mountains was perfect. The Shadow room, now that is any girls paradise. It was warm, inviting and a bonding experience for us. Our overall stay was amazing. Martha, Bill and Judy are the kindest people. The folks in town were extremely friendly. The highlight of our stay is what is important but (and having really nothing to do with the above named people) the customer service of the office staff was uninformative could be a bit more friendly. I wont go into details but that was the only down fall.

  We loved our stay here! It's beautiful and clean. The only thing was that we came while the owner was away, so we weren't met by anyone when we checked in. However, she did have someone else come make us breakfast in the morning. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was very relaxing!

  My wife and I loved how beautiful the area was, and was suprised to see the Elk Ranch right next door. It was very quiet and peaceful, the bed was soooo comfortable, the bath (in the Shadow Room) was incredible. Next morning a very nice lady (I'm sorry, I'm horrible with names) made us a wonderful breakfast and some great conversation. We plan to go back for sure, it was much more than we expected. A perfect weekend for us.

• Stay with the Elks ... With the Elk farm directly across from the property, the early morning bugling was great. The sounds of nature were an unexpected treat. Property Managers were extremely helpful, and sharing of the local area sights.

  Our stay was very enjoyable. This is the first time we have stayed in a bed and breakfast and the experience was very pleasurable. This is a wonderful way to enjoy the out doors and the beauty of Garden Valley and the surrounding areas if you are not into camping or have the equipment for camping. The accommondation were excellent. We had a wonderful breakfast and the company was great. We would stay again at this same place and we are going to tell our friend about this piece of paradise

  Martha and Bill were very nice, accommodating, and made us feel at home. The breakfast was great, especially the coconut French toast. The view was spectacular as well and seeing elk next door is exciting. We had a great time and will return once we travel back to Crouch/Garden Valley. On a side note: see the 4th of July show in downtown Crouch if you get a chance it is crazy.

  My wife and I were at peace we totally need the serenity to be alone with eachother and the was a God send, no one else was there and the owners came by once and we had basically the entire place to ourselves.
  Sitting in the hot tube in the evening with the elk buggeling in the distance was also wonderful. Just a great well need 2 nights of peace with no phones.

  We had a wonderful weekend at our "Walk on the Wild Side, B&B. The manager was just wonderful and provides such a peaceful atmosphere we found we could really relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors. We found good hiking trails nearby; and we met some nice people who were also staying at our house. We are ready to go again. We'll be calling for reservations again as soon as our schedule allows.   We had a wonderful time in The Shadow Room. The furniture was gorgeous, the bed was comfortable. The sauna was out of this world! We were looking forward to having a nicely prepared breakfast but the owner was gone which meant we had the whole house to ourselves - a nice trade off.
