  Loved the Streamside cabin in Garden Valley. The break from the every day routine was everything we could ask for. The cabin was clean and a great view out the back windows. The hot tub was great to spend the evening in. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get away.

  The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed and more for our Thanksgiving weekend getaway - lots of towels, dishes, cooking supplies. The cabin is a little old and used but spacious and very functional (other than the faucets). It's probably time the owners invested in some new bedding though - a little threadbare and worn - and upgrade some other odds and ends.
  
  The hot tub was the big draw for us, and we did indeed enjoy soaking on the deck under the stars.
  
  The "master" bedroom is upstairs and the stairs are VERY steep indeed, as others have mentioned in their reviews. Not sure our dog would have attempted the climb. We ended up not bringing her along, but we were happy to have the option with this pet-friendly place.
  
  I've been waiting to write my review to see if the property managers refunded my pre-paid pet fee. They did - it just took a while to show up as a credit on my account. So, all in all, we're happy customers. I would check out a different cabin next time though just to compare.

  My wife and I (and our 2 dogs) had an excellent time at the Streamside cabin. We would love to go back again someday. One note on the location of the management company where people need to check in: If you type the address into Google Maps it places it approximately 5 miles up Middlefork Rd., but it is actually located in the center of the small town of Crouch (only 1 mile up Middlefork Rd). We learned this this hard way.

    We're sorry you had trouble finding the office, but that is why we state in all our correspondence where to find directions to our office -- on our website under "contact us". GPS, Google Maps, etc. do not work up here and although we tell everyone this, somehow people think the GPS just can't be wrong.

  We really enjoyed our stay however the picture makes it look like it is remote and it is not. It is basically in a neighborhood. The cabin was very clean and everything we needed was there for our use. The hot tub was awesome! We had a very romantic time and would definitely return. I think the warmer months would be nice too with the private section of stream behind the cabin.

  My friend & I spent our 'Second Annual Retirement Retreat' at the Streamside Cabin. Whitetail deer in the valley were in the front yard early Saturday morning. Great view from hot tub! Sound of creek running over beaver dam was a nice touch. The cabin was well equipped, clean with great comfy, woodsy ambiance.

  We had an excellent stay. Was very happy wih the Streamside Cabin except the stairs are extreamely steep. The living room furniture and carpet could use a cleaning. There was a few loose boards on the deck. But overall it was EXCELLENT!!! We WILL be back!

  Wonderful view - this is what sold it for us! We have stayed with ICK three times now and we thought we were in love with our first cabin, but this beats it by far!!!! Loved the sound of the river at night. My only complaint is the steep stairs, but hey.....ICK can't do anything about that. At least there are other options for sleeping if you can't manage stairs! A baby gate would be a nice addition to this cabin!!

  My wife daughter and I had a great time at the cabin. The stream, hot tub and view are all as advertised. There were a couple of minor details that we left word for repair but nothing that would stop a fun weekend. I would say the overall experience was positive and the house is very comfortable. I would highly recommend a visit to Terrace Lakes for a swim which is just down the road from the house. The streamside cabin is a keeper and in a great location.

  It's a nice comfortable cabin for a couple, two couples, or a single family. Stairs to 2nd floor are pretty steep, but our dog was up to the challenge. Given the location in a subdivision, the property is pleasantly private with a grand valley view behind (our dog loved this given all the wildlife) and no immediately adjacent neighbors. We will certainly consider it a future vacation option again.

  We had such a nice time at the Streamside Cabin! It was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed :) The hot tub was very relaxing, and the view was breathtaking. My husband even caught a few fish in the stream behind the cabin!
  Our only one issue was that it was VERY hot when we were there, and there was only one air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom window which did not work very well… Thank goodness it cooled down at night!

  When we first got there it was warm inside. This was no big deal until I realized the air conditioning unit was unplugged and laying on the floor in one of the bedrooms. It cooled down at nights to open the windows and let the cool air in but during the day we had to shut all the blinds so that it didn't get to hot.
  
  Also in the upstairs/main bedroom had a picture of a nude woman. Although some would just consider this art, my wife and I thought it was distasteful and didn't seem to match the rest of the cabins nice outdoor/fishing decor.
  
  Overall it was a good place to stay with a great view out back but I would not necessarily recommend this particular cabin to friends or family.
  
  The property manager seemed to be friendly and helpful.

  We rented this nice little cabin on a trip from Louisiana to Oregon. Although, we only stayed one night, it was perfectly situated for beauty and relaxation.   We stayed in the Streamside Cabin 2 years ago for 2 nights. We loved it and wanted to return for a longer visit...8 nights this time! The cabin is well stocked and very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to clean the upholstery as someone has stained the seating areas and arm rests. If you wonder where the blender came from...we had a spare and left it for future guests:) Hope we can come back some day!

  My husband and I enjoyed a quiet, relaxing weekend here with our son who was home from college for Spring Break. All of us were entertained by the white-tailed deer in the meadow behind the cabin. The location of the cabin was convenient to the town of Crouch, and a soak in the hot tub was especially nice on a chilly early Spring evening. We would definitely recommend this cabin for a fun and affordable mountain getaway.

  The place was better than I expected! Plenty of room, everything in great condition, and all the amentias were available. My only comment is we came in after office hours and picked up the key and directions to the cabin, it was dark and there was thick fog, so directions that are probably just fine in the daylight, were not helpful at all in these conditions. It would have been more useful to have included the house # in the directions.

  The nice lady from Idaho Cabin Keepers tried to warn me that this cabin was a little dated, and that its condition might not be perfect because it allows pets. However, we found niether to be the case! No it's not brand new, but all of the furniture and carpets were spotless, as were the bathrooms and kitchen. It is in a beautiful spot with a creek and large meadow off the back deck (where the hot tub sits). The subdivision is very quiet, especially in the winter. The cabin is set up like a real cabin, with a both rooms upsairs in loft style, and the living area having a high ceiling. The wood stove worked great with the large stash of dry wood left by the owners (we only used it for ambiance and to make it extra warm after coming in from the hot tub; the furnace works fine). This cabin was absolutely perfect for a romantic winter weekend, and I would also recommend it for a family vacation for up to six. Kudos to Idaho Cabin Keepers for offering such a great place at a reasonable price!

  We wanted a short getaway and heard many good things about Garden Valley. I got online, found a cabin and booked it(which was very easy). The Streamside fit our needs perfectly. The view from the back deck was terrific. We were able to watch white-tail every day we were there. We did alot of exploring while there and found the towns people to be very friendly and helpful. We even went to a small flea market at the community center. After running around all day it was nice to come back to the cabin and relax in the hot tub which is in the perfect spot on the deck. The cabin is so homey and comfortable. Nice kitchen and the view from the bedroom upstairs is great! We had a wonderful time and hope to return in February and then again next summer. Thank you so much Cabin Keepers! Your staff is the best!!!

  Overall I was very satisfied. There wasn't one thing I could possibly complain about, the cabin was great and very well kept. The ONLY suggestion I would make is to purchase some cheap patio furniture for the front porch, and perhaps the back as well. I enjoyed sitting in the morning watching the sun rise our front, and in the back in the evenings. The only other comment I have is I did this whole process online, and actually did not speak with anyone for the whole process. I showed up at the office and picked up a key from the box, and dropped it off at the end of the stay. Most people would probably like that, and it was ok. I was hoping to speak to someone when I got to the office just to ask some general questions but found the locals very friendly and helpful. None of the comments are was a great time and an excellent experience. Nice job!

  We spent a lot of time in the hot tub; not just for the relaxation, but it was the best place to be while viewing the deer and coyotes that came into the meadow to graze and romp around. This is our second time at the Streamside Cabin, and we plan to come back next year.

  The cabin was older, but in good shape. A few stains on the carpet. The beds were hard and the kitchen goods very worn, but it was clean and comfortable and well stocked with the necessary supplies. Had a WONDERFUL view off the back deck. We really enjoyed watching the does and fawns feeding in the meadow while we relaxed in the hot tub. It was quiet and a good place to escape to. We would stay there again.

  We had a very fun, relaxing stay. The cabin was in very good condition and it had more amenities than we assumed it would have. The one problem we had was that the cord for the TV had a splice in the wires and the wires were bare. When the charger I had in my hand touched the wires they shorted out and blew the circuit breaker. I'm thankful the circuit breaker worked and the charger touched the wires and not my hand. I covered the splices with electrical tape. It should be a fairly permanent repair. Aside from that we didn't have any other problems. With the 100+ degree weather we were very thankful the cabin had A/C. The view was great and we used the hottub 2 to 3 times a day. My daughter wants to add a comment that "the stairs were steep!" We will probably contact you in the next 3 to 4 years to book another stay.

  A beautiful cabin. Very quite with a view of green pastures and white tail deer. Cabin has all needed amenities, but House keeping could have been better. Windows were dirty on the inside from the last renters little kids. The grass in the yard was long and overgrown. Should have been mowed so we could have used the open space for the our dogs to play on.

  We enjoyed the cabin & the view. The fishing was disappointing - nothing really in the stream & no close locations that were open to public fishing - had to drive 30 minutes or so to fish. Would recommend an air conditioner for the downstairs too.

  What a wonderful stay we had. The cabin was spotless & well-maintained. I have already recommended the area to friends. I wish we could have stayed longer and am already planning our next stay. Would love to see some of the other cabins, but I doubt they are any better than this one!

  We had a very good time and the local people were great at the stores and restaurants we visited. I have recommended your site to many of my friends and hope to return myself one day soon. We were well pleased with the service from the booking process through to the end of our stay. The peaceful location was just what we were looking for when we came to Idaho. We love to hike and enjoy nature and idaho has plenty of both. There were four acults in our party and we had plenty of room in the cabin we picked.
